The Ryan McCabe Foundation was created to honor Ryan’s life and legacy.
About Ryan
Above anything else, Ryan McCabe was a family man. He was the most loving Dad to three young boys, and a loyal and devoted husband to his wife, Roisin. He was also a treasured son, uncle, nephew, and friend to so many people.
Tragically in June 2024 at the age of 35, Ryan was involved in a fatal motorbike accident.
What Ryan left behind was a legion of people around the world who’s lives he had impacted in the most positive of ways. With his infectious energy and charisma for life, Ryan had such a wonderful way of lighting up any space he was in. Ryan wanted to make a difference, for the better. Whether that was leading the team as a co-founder of Odro (video interviewing software), giving advice to anyone in need, or being at every football match or school assembly for his boys, Ryan valued human connections and so, made endless differences during his short life to so many people.

About The Foundation
The Ryan McCabe Foundation was dreamed up almost immediately and was initiated into the official register of Scottish charities in early 2025. The difference Ryan made to people was his legacy, which had to be continued.
The Foundation is built on the principle of making a difference to anyone suffering hardship through illness. As such, we select several charities each year to support through our two main fundraising initiatives: Run for Ryan and The Ryan McCabe Foundation Ball.
